Robust-optimal integrated control design technique for a pressurized water-type nuclear power plant

Abstract A control design scheme is formulated for a pressurized water type nuclear power plant by integrating the optimal linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) with robust integral sliding mode (ISM) technique. novel robust-optimal hybrid further proposed LQG-ISM technique loop transfer recovery approach to enhance effectiveness and robustness capability. The architecture offers performance minimum efforts tracks reference set-point effectively in presence of disturbances parametric uncertainties. multi-input-multi-output model adopted this work characterized 38 state variables. nonlinear linearized around steady-state operating conditions obtain controller design. efficacy controllers demonstrated subsystem simulations. also compared other classical schemes. Numerical measures are employed quantitatively analyse compare different that studied work.
